Victor Cowell Profile

Victor Cowell

I arrived in Luton nearly 22 years ago, from the north east.

My activities in local government voluntary action began in the mid 1990's, with the Tenants Consultative Committee and lasted 9 years.

From this I was elected to represent the committee on the board of the Safer Luton Partnership.

After my tenure I was asked by the SLP to stay on as a community representative and have been a member for 9 years and, currently, am in my third year as Vice-Chairman.

I was asked 2010, by LBC, to join the committee advising on the redevelopment of Leagrave Park and from this I was co-opted to the Luton Assembly Environment and Economic committee in March of this year and recently elected as its Vice-Chairman.

My personal details are I am a retired pensioner with 4 grown children and 3 grand children. I am a Minister in a local free church and an army veteran with 31 years regular and reserve service.
