I am married with five children, 1 grandchild and have lived in Luton for over 30 years. I grew up in the catering trade followed by working for a computer manufacturer, I was promoted to Time clerk then Trainer of new employees.

Having started a family, a friend and I set up and ran a Parent and Toddler group, which then grew into a playgroup. When my husband was made redundant I made Christmas crackers and started my own party plan business selling greetings cards. I then became involved in the Pre-School Alliance, as it is now known, where I was a trainer for many years while working in a school as a special needs assistant. This led to being the treasurer for the PTA for eight years. After having my youngest child I joined Victim Support as a volunteer, later to become receptionist, coordinator and now the Community Manager for the Luton area. I recruit, train and supervise a team of volunteers, general office duties- H&S etc, plus give talks/presentations to various organisations, attend meetings such as CDRP, DA Forum, work closely within the community to provide a high standard of service to those affected by crime.
