The aim of Network Development is to create and support grassroots community networks within Luton and help their engagement within the Luton Strategic Partnership, through participation in the Luton Assembly.

It will also :

  • Enable groups to understand priorities
  • Be a focal point for developing group interaction
  • Identify training needs
  • Encouraging organisations to work more closely on a strategic level
  • Support individual organisations to link to local forums
  • Enable access to more resources
  • Support network events
  • Encourage excluded communities to be involved in local networks & become involved in strategic planning structures

At the moment Levi Habashanti, Network Development Officer at Voluntary Action Luton is facilitating the development of 2 networks:

Luton African Organisational Network

This network primary aim is to bring together all african community organisations working within Luton.

African Caribbean Network

We are also in the process of forming a network to help look at issues that affect the Caribbean community within Luton.
